Our Review

If you are wanting an advanced robotic vacuum for your pool, and don’t mind investing a little extra to get the top-of-the-line, the Aquabot Turbo T is the one for you. Developed with extreme precision and effectiveness in mind, the Turbo T has all of the features you would expect to find on a robotic vacuum plus more. With the machine doing your pool cleaning, you’ll no longer have the need for countless hours being spent on maintaining your pool or hiring someone else to do it.

Design

The Aquabot Turbo T is designed to be used only on in-ground pools, but will work with pools of any shape or sizes. The design of this robotic vacuum allows it to be dropped into the water and then left alone; it will do its job without any intervention from you. Even more incredible is the fact that it can do this on a vast array of cycles.

Tracks and Rollers

The high-performance G-Tooth drive tracks allow the Aquabot Turbo T to get out of any steep spaces in your pool. While normal automatic vacuums tend to get stuck around drains or in the deep end, unable to climb the steep slope, the Aquabot Turbo T powers its way up. In fact, this robotic vacuum can climb walls, stairs, or even benches made into the pool with ease as it has the ability to make 90° climbs without missing a beat.

The Rollers, Aquabot’s signature “NeverStuck” rollers, are standard on every Turbo T model you purchase. This roller design allows it to easily maneuver over raised floor drains, lighting, and in-floor pump heads. You’ll never have to worry about your vacuum not reaching the entire pool.

Brushes and Pressure Jets

The design of the brush system on the Aquabot Turbo T is unlike any other system on the market. To start off with, the brushes are powered by a motor that allows them to gently scrub the pool’s surface. This brushing actions occurs while the vacuum continues moving forward and works to dislodge even the most stubborn dirt. Also, not only do these brushes move back and forth but they rotate as well, all without damaging the pool’s material.

In addition to the brushes, the Turbo T series has a set of dual power-washing jets that shoot water into the pools surface. By adverting a small portion of the filtered water through these jets, the Aquabot Turbo T lifts hard stains, pushing the debris towards the center of the vacuum and into the suction system. This hydro-scrub feature gets deep into the pool’s corners, seams, and even the material’s pores to flush out stubborn algae, sand, silt, and any other debris or bacteria that wouldn’t normally be sucked up by a vacuum.

Self-contained Filtration

The Aquabot Turbo T series takes the self-contained filtration of the robotic vacuum to the next level. Not only do you not have to worry about hooking the vacuum up to your pool’s pump system, you don’t have to do anything special to allow the vacuum to filter the water.

The core of this self-contained filter system is the extra-large debris bags the Turbo T series comes with. It’s made of the same mesh material that filters the water’s particles down to 2 microns. This ensures it filters out the algae and bacteria out of the pool.

Plus, since it is such a large bag, it is able to contain the large debris, such as leaves, acorns, and pine needles that are picked up from the pool’s bottom. While most vacuums can only pick up a small amount of these items before they lose suction, the Aquabot Turbo T can sweep the entire pool and never lose suction.

Quiet Operating Design

What most pool owners complain the most about with their automatic vacuums is how loud it is. Most have a continuous clicking noise that completely drowns out any conversation you try having outside while it is running. With the Aquabot Turbo T, you don’t have that problem. In fact, the only time you will hear the Turbo T series running is when it briefly breaks the surface of the waterline before dipping back into the water.

Most owners have actually reported hooking the vacuum up, turning it on, and not thinking that is was working because they didn’t hear it. It wasn’t until they watched the Turbo T in action that they realized it was performing admirably.

Operating

Perhaps the main thing consumers have raved about, and has been confirmed through testing, is that the Aquabot Turbo T series is the easiest robotic vacuum to use, even with it’s complex array of cycles available.

Digital Control Box

When people first look at the options available for controlling the Aquabot Turbo T, they immediately get worried about it being to complex to control; and rightfully so. With this many options, it can be overwhelming. However, the Turbo T series’ control couldn’t be any easier to figure out.

Cycles

The available cycles on the are what sets it apart from any other robotic vacuum on the market. It has the ability to be programmed for intervals of 1 to 7 hours long, depending on the size of your pool and how dirty it is. Also, you can simply turn it to continuous run and it will run until you turn it off.

However, what most love about the programming abilities is how you can set it to move for a certain amount of time in one direction before it stops and goes the other way for the same amount of time. This feature, alone, gives the user complete control over the movement of the vacuum.

Cost Effective

What tends to throw most people off of buying an automatic vacuum is the cost associated with running them. Most automatic vacuums require you to either run them using your existing pump or install what is known as a booster pump just to have enough power for the vacuums suction. This leads to higher energy costs due to the excessive draw of power these extra pumps require.

With the Aquabot Turbo T, your cost for each cycle ran will be around 5 cents per cycle. That’s it. Unbelievable, right? This is achieved by the Turbo T being a true robotic vacuum, meaning it doesn’t require the use of any extra pumps; it does everything itself. Plus, by using energy efficient motors, it can use a normal power outlet most people have near their pools anyways.

Over all, there isn’t a better option for a robotic vacuum than the Aquabot Turbo T. Sure, you will have to spend a little extra, but with that extra investment you are getting several years’ worth of worry-free pool maintenance. Plus, think of all the money you will save by not having to hire a pool boy, nor us as much chemicals to keep that clean and clear look and feel to your pool.
